Joshua Zirkzee made an impactful debut for Manchester United, scoring an 87th-minute goal to clinch a 1-0 victory against Fulham in the Premier League season opener at Old Trafford. The Netherlands striker, who recently joined United from Bologna for $47 million, capitalized on a precise cross from Alejandro Garnacho, guiding the ball home with his left foot to secure the win.

This victory marked a positive start for United, who have invested heavily in new signings during the offseason, including defenders Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt. Both players also made their first appearances, with Mazraoui starting at right back and De Ligt coming on as a substitute.

Despite dominating possession, United struggled to find the back of the net until Zirkzee’s late intervention, with Fulham’s goalkeeper Bernd Leno making crucial saves to keep his team in the game. Garnacho missed a late chance to double the lead, but Zirkzee’s goal proved enough to give United a winning start to their campaign.
