Former undisputed lightweight champion and UFC Hall of Fame inductee, Khabib Nurmagomedov, has advised against his youngest son pursuing a professional MMA career, despite acknowledging the child’s interest in training.

Nurmagomedov, who retired with a perfect 29-0 record, has become a coach at the American Kickboxing Academy since leaving the sport. While he supports his children’s involvement in mixed martial arts training, he personally discourages them from becoming professional athletes.

Nurmagomedov shared an anecdote about his son expressing admiration for a fellow fighter, Islam Makhachev, and stated that although he won’t hinder his son’s choices, he prefers him not to pursue a professional fighting career.

Additionally, Nurmagomedov dismissed any possibility of his own return to MMA, mentioning that discussions about participating in UFC 300 were quickly dismissed by his manager, Ali Abdelaziz.
