Leg-spinner Sarah Glenn, aged 24, has made the difficult decision to depart from England’s tour of New Zealand due to her ongoing recovery from a concussion sustained during a match.

The incident occurred when Glenn collided with the turf while attempting a catch in the third T20 match held in Nelson on March 24th.Initially, it was anticipated that Glenn would miss the final two T20 matches and the first two one-day internationals to allow for her recuperation.

However, following a comprehensive assessment, it has been determined that she will require further time and care to fully recover, necessitating her absence for the remainder of the series.

As a result of Glenn’s departure, the England squad will continue with 15 players, with no immediate replacement being called up to fill her position.Despite this setback, Heather Knight’s side has demonstrated resilience and skill, securing a notable victory in the T20 series with a commendable 4-1 triumph.

Furthermore, they currently maintain a lead in the ongoing three-match one-day series, having clinched a convincing four-wicket win in Wellington on Tuesday.
