World number one Ronnie O’Sullivan showcased his brilliance with three century breaks, propelling him to the Tour Championship final with a 10-7 victory over Gary Wilson.
Despite initially trailing 2-0, O’Sullivan’s breaks of 102 and 110 helped him surge ahead to a 4-2 lead. Wilson fought back with impressive runs of his own, including scores of 83, 84, 82, and 96, leveling the match at 7-7.
However, O’Sullivan’s dominance shone through as he claimed the final three frames, sealing victory with visits of 98 and 129. The 48-year-old maestro will now await the winner between Mark Allen and Mark Williams in Sunday’s final. Reflecting on the match, O’Sullivan described it as a thrilling contest.
The Tour Championship, catering to snooker’s top players based on the one-year ranking list, marks O’Sullivan’s third appearance in the final, having previously won the inaugural event and finishing runner-up in the subsequent edition.
