Patton Kizzire ended a six-year title drought on the PGA Tour by capturing the US PGA Tour Procore Championship on Sunday. The 38-year-old American posted a final-round score of 70, which included an eagle and three birdies, to secure a comfortable five-shot victory at Silverado Resort in Napa, California. Kizzire’s total score left him at 18-under par for the tournament, claiming his third career tour title and his first since the 2018 Sony Open.
Starting the day with a four-shot lead, Kizzire extended his dominance despite a few missteps. His eagle came on the par-five fifth hole, where he holed out from the greenside rough. However, bogeys at the ninth and 11th briefly allowed runner-up David Lipsky to close the gap. Kizzire responded with birdies on the 12th, 13th, and 15th holes, solidifying his lead while Lipsky finished with a one-under 71 for a 273 total.
Kizzire, who had missed the cut in his previous two tournaments and failed to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs, expressed his satisfaction: “I’ve worked really hard, and to come out and play like I did… that was so much fun.”
