The Atlanta Hawks made an incredible comeback from a 30-point deficit to defeat the NBA-leading Boston Celtics.

Boston had a commanding 68-38 lead with just over four minutes remaining in the first half. Led by De’Andre Hunter’s 24 points, including a crucial late three-pointer, the Hawks secured a 120-118 victory over the Eastern Conference leaders.

Hawks coach Quin Snyder credited the team’s resilience and unity for the turnaround, highlighting their unwavering support during tough times. Hunter’s three-pointer with 10.1 seconds left sealed the win for Atlanta, ending the Celtics’ nine-game winning streak.

Despite being 10th in the Eastern Conference, the Hawks showcased their strength with Bogdan Bogdanovic contributing 22 points and Dejounte Murray with 19 points, 15 assists, and five rebounds.

This comeback marked the largest in the Hawks’ history since the play-by-play era began in 1997-98 and the first time a team overcame a 30-point deficit against the NBA’s best team since 2002. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla acknowledged Atlanta’s physicality and credited them for disrupting Boston’s offense. The teams are set to face each other again in Atlanta on Thursday.
