Manchester City 4-1 West Ham

Manchester City secured back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since October, defeating West Ham United 4-1 at the Etihad. Savinho’s deflected opener in the 10th minute set the tone, while Erling Haaland stole the show with a header before halftime and a deft finish early in the second half. Phil Foden added a fourth following a defensive lapse by the Hammers.

West Ham’s Niclas Füllkrug scored a consolation goal in the 71st minute, but it was little solace as the visitors’ defensive struggles continued. West Ham, who conceded 79 Premier League goals in 2024, have now shipped nine in their last two matches.

City remains sixth in the league, with Pep Guardiola’s side extending their home dominance over West Ham to nine consecutive wins.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Chelsea

Crystal Palace earned a hard-fought point against Chelsea at Selhurst Park, with Jean-Philippe Mateta’s late equalizer canceling out Cole Palmer’s early strike.

Chelsea dominated the first half, with Jadon Sancho’s clever dummy leading to Palmer’s opening goal in the 14th minute. However, their failure to capitalize on further opportunities allowed Palace to grow into the game.

Eberechi Eze came close to leveling in the second half, and Mateta eventually punished a Palmer error with a composed finish to secure the draw.

Chelsea have now gone four games without a win in the Premier League (D2, L2), leaving them fourth, nine points behind leaders Liverpool with two extra games played. Palace, in 15th, continue to struggle at home, with only two wins from 11 matches at Selhurst Park.
