Teen darts sensation Luke Littler delivered a flawless performance in his Players Championship Finals debut, demolishing Rob Cross 6-0 in just seven minutes on Friday night. Littler’s lightning-fast win sets up a second-round clash with European Champion Ritchie Edhouse in Minehead on Saturday.

World number one Luke Humphries also impressed, defeating Germany’s Gabriel Clemens 6-2 to begin his title defense. “Cool Hand Luke” will now face five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld in what promises to be a thrilling second-round encounter.

Shocks and Early Exits

Scotsman Peter Wright, a two-time world champion, was upset by Northern Ireland’s Daryl Gurney in the opening round. Meanwhile, Belgium’s Mario Vandenbogaerde edged out Stephen Bunting, adding another surprising twist to the tournament’s early stages.

As the competition heats up, all eyes will be on Littler and Humphries as they aim to continue their impressive form in the next round.
