In a dramatic last-16 match at the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton, 17-year-old Luke Littler made a stunning comeback to beat Mike De Decker 10-9. Despite trailing 8-4 and later 9-7, the tournament debutant found a way to rally, showing remarkable poise in the final legs to overcome the Belgian opponent. Littler initially led 2-0 but then struggled, losing eight of the next ten legs before mounting his remarkable comeback.

Reflecting on the intense match, Littler said, “I didn’t think I was in the game, but I know I can always switch that gear. I just cannot believe it.” His late-match adjustments, taking an extra moment to compose himself between throws, proved crucial as he clinched the victory.

Three-time Grand Slam quarter-finalist Mark Webster praised Littler’s composure, especially in the deciding leg, calling him a “cool, calm character” and predicting a bright future for the young talent.
