Luke Humphries delivered a dominant 5-0 victory over Ryan Joyce in the semi-finals of the World Grand Prix, securing his place in the final against Belgium’s Mike De Decker. Humphries, the defending champion, showcased his elite form, averaging over 100 and dropping only three legs throughout the match. Despite Joyce averaging 94.42, it wasn’t enough to stop the world number one’s commanding performance.

Post-match, Humphries credited his confidence in key moments: “I believe in myself in these big moments and I had to put in that big performance. It felt special.” The win puts Humphries on the brink of adding a second World Grand Prix title to a stellar year that has already seen him claim the World Championship, World Matchplay, and the World Cup of Darts for England.

Humphries will face De Decker in Sunday’s final after the Belgian pulled off a 5-2 win against compatriot Dimitri Van den Bergh. De Decker’s victory, in a scrappier match where both players averaged in the 80s, marked his first-ever major final.

The Belgian expressed his excitement: I’m over the moon – really, really happy… I’m loving the feeling of winning, and I’m really looking forward to tomorrow.

Humphries will look to continue his fine run of form, while De Decker aims to cap off a remarkable tournament with an underdog triumph.
