Luka Doncic made an impressive debut for the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, scoring 14 points in a commanding 132-113 victory over the Utah Jazz. Returning from a calf injury that sidelined him since December, Doncic played 24 minutes, showcasing flashes of brilliance that Lakers fans hope will define a new era for the franchise.

“I was a little bit nervous before the game, but once I stepped onto the court it was fun. Just being out there again felt amazing,” Doncic said after receiving a roaring reception from the Lakers crowd.

The five-time All-Star connected seamlessly with LeBron James, who finished with 24 points. Their chemistry was evident, highlighted by a full-court assist from Doncic to James that electrified the arena. Despite a brief scare in the first quarter when Doncic needed treatment for his calf, he returned strong, hitting a 26-foot three-pointer for his first points as a Laker.

The Lakers improved to 32-19, securing fifth place in the Western Conference, while the Jazz dropped to 12-40, sitting near the bottom of the standings.
