LeBron James and his 20-year-old son, Bronny James, made NBA history by becoming the first father and son to play in the league together during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 110-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The pair shared the court for nearly 2 1/2 minutes late in the first half of Bronny’s NBA debut, marking a historic moment not only for the Lakers but for the entire league.
LeBron contributed 16 points, while Anthony Davis dominated with 36 points and 16 rebounds. Rui Hachimura added 18 points in a strong showing. JJ Redick, in his coaching debut for the Lakers, secured his first win after being hired earlier this year.
For Minnesota, Anthony Edwards led with 27 points, while new additions Julius Randle (16 points, nine rebounds) and Donte DiVincenzo (10 points) made their debuts after the trade of Karl-Anthony Towns to New York. Rookie Dalton Knecht, the Lakers’ first-round pick, also made his debut, scoring five points.
