Kirk Cousins delivered a career-best performance, throwing for 509 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Atlanta Falcons to a dramatic 36-30 overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Trailing 30-27 with just one second remaining in regulation, the Falcons forced overtime with a clutch 52-yard field goal from Younghoe Koo.

In overtime, the Buccaneers lost possession after the coin toss, allowing Cousins to guide the Falcons downfield. He connected twice with Drake London before delivering a 45-yard game-winning touchdown pass to KhaDarel Hodge.

Cousins’ 509 passing yards place him among just 22 quarterbacks in NFL history to surpass the 500-yard mark in a game, moving him to 15th on the all-time list. Norm Van Brocklin holds the record with 554 yards, set in 1951.

The Falcons’ third win of the season, improving their record to 3-2, left Cousins proud of the team’s resilience: “I’m grateful for the progress we’ve made. We’re getting better each week.”
