Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove is in a medically induced coma after collapsing during a Serie A match against Inter Milan, which was abandoned shortly after the incident. The 22-year-old fell in the 16th minute and was rushed to Careggi Hospital in Florence, where initial tests ruled out severe damage to his central nervous or cardio-respiratory systems. Reports suggest he regained consciousness in the ambulance.

Messages of support have poured in from fans and players, with Fiorentina supporters gathering outside the hospital. Club president Rocco Commisso expressed solidarity, saying, “Forza Edoardo, we’re with you.” The incident has evoked memories of former Fiorentina captain Davide Astori’s tragic passing in 2018. Bove will remain under observation as the football world rallies around him.
