Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles delivered a statement victory, dismantling the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at the Superdome on Sunday, shattering their hopes of an unprecedented Super Bowl ‘three-peat’. The win not only avenged the Eagles’ heartbreaking Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs two years ago but also cemented Philadelphia’s place in NFL history with their second Super Bowl title.

Hurts was sensational, throwing for 221 yards, two touchdowns, and rushing for another, outclassing Patrick Mahomes, who endured one of the toughest games of his career with two interceptions, a fumble, and six sacks.

“He had an unbelievable game today when we needed him to,” said Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, praising Hurts’ ability to exploit the Chiefs’ defensive focus on stopping Saquon Barkley.

The Eagles dominated from the start, racing to a 24-0 halftime lead, with standout plays including a 38-yard pick-six by Cooper DeJean and Hurts connecting with A.J. Brown for a crucial touchdown.

Despite a late surge from Mahomes, including two fourth-quarter touchdowns, the game was already out of reach. The loss raises questions about the future of the Chiefs’ dynasty, while the Eagles soar into the offseason as deserving champions.
