DeWanna Bonner scored 24 points, Alyssa Thomas recorded a triple-double, and DiJonai Carrington made crucial plays late in the game to propel the Connecticut Sun to a 78-73 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday night.

Bonner was exceptional, hitting 10 of 16 shots, including two 3-pointers, and adding nine rebounds for the Sun (16-4). This win marks Connecticut’s second consecutive victory after a rough patch of losing three of their previous four games.

Alyssa Thomas was instrumental with a season-high 14 assists, contributing 13 points and 10 rebounds, securing her triple-double. DiJonai Carrington also played a pivotal role, finishing with 17 points and sinking 3 of 4 shots from beyond the arc.

For the Lynx (14-6), Alanna Smith led with 14 points before fouling out, while Kayla McBride added 13 points and eight rebounds.

 Las Vegas Aces Continue Winning Streak with Victory Over Washington Mystics

In another thrilling game, Kelsey Plum scored 28 points, including six 3-pointers, leading the Las Vegas Aces to a 98-77 triumph over the Washington Mystics, extending their winning streak to six games.

Plum was highly efficient, making 10 of 13 shots overall and 6 of 9 from 3-point range for the Aces (12-6), the two-time defending champions. Jackie Young also shone with 20 points and 10 assists, marking her second consecutive double-double and fourth of the season. A’ja Wilson, who tops the league with a 27.0 scoring average, contributed 18 points and nine rebounds.

For the Mystics (5-16), Shatori Walker-Kimbrough led the scoring with 19 points off the bench. Ariel Atkins added 18 points, and Emily Engstler chipped in with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

The Sun and Aces continue to demonstrate their dominance in the league, with standout performances and strategic plays securing their latest victories.
