Conor McGregor has outlined his two-fight plan for the year, revealing intentions for a pay-per-view return against Nate Diaz in a trilogy rubber match at UFC 306 in September, coinciding with Mexican Independence Day at the Las Vegas Sphere.
McGregor, recovering from a leg injury suffered in 2021, initially aimed for a comeback against Michael Chandler in June during International Fight Week.
While no date has been confirmed for McGregor’s return, he remains committed to facing Chandler in June and Diaz in September, sharing a two-fight series with Diaz, who handed McGregor his first promotional loss in 2016 but was later defeated by McGregor in a close majority decision at UFC 202.
