Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will join forces as doubles partners at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. The tennis competition will take place on the clay courts of Roland Garros, where 21-year-old Alcaraz recently secured his third Grand Slam title. Nadal, a 38-year-old veteran, boasts 22 major wins, including a record 14 championships at Roland Garros.

The Olympic Games will commence on 26 July, with the tennis tournaments starting the following day. Spain’s national team coach, David Ferrer, confirmed the anticipated partnership, stating, “Rafa and Carlos will be playing together in Paris.” Nadal, who won an Olympic gold in Beijing in 2008, will compete alongside Alcaraz, who is making his Olympic debut.

Nadal’s participation in the Games was uncertain earlier this year due to a series of injuries, but he made a comeback during the clay court season in April. With the Paris Olympics likely being his last, Nadal aims to make a memorable final appearance, while Alcaraz looks forward to his first Olympic experience.
