Andrey Rublev, currently ranked 8th in the ATP standings, secured a convincing victory over Matteo Arnaldi, who is ranked 46th, in the ATP 1000 semifinal held in Montreal, Canada. Rublev triumphed with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-2, showcasing his dominance on the court.

In the first set, Rublev broke Arnaldi’s serve to gain an early advantage, eventually taking the set 6-4. Maintaining his momentum, Rublev continued to exert pressure in the second set, breaking Arnaldi twice to secure a 6-2 win and seal his place in the final.

Rublev’s performance highlights his strong form as he prepares to face Alexei Popyrin in the final on August 13, 2024. Popyrin, who has also shown impressive skills throughout the tournament, will be a formidable opponent as both players compete for the prestigious ATP 1000 title.
