Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti addressed the current struggles of star striker Kylian Mbappé, emphasizing his determination and motivation despite recent setbacks. Mbappé, currently under scrutiny due to a sexual assault investigation in Sweden and feeling the pressure of Real Madrid’s expectations, was notably left out of Didier Deschamps’ France squad for upcoming Nations League games. Ancelotti reassured fans, stating, “Mbappé is down but not out,” and emphasized that the 25-year-old remains fully focused on returning to form as Real Madrid prepares to face Osasuna on Saturday.

The European champions find themselves nine points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona following a tough 4-0 defeat in El Clásico last month. A 3-1 loss to AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this week added to the pressure, marking their second consecutive home loss. Despite recent struggles, Ancelotti dismissed the idea of singling out Mbappé, explaining that the entire team, including players like Vinícius Junior, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham, is navigating a challenging period. “We haven’t hit our stride yet, but Mbappé will overcome this,” he said.

When asked about Deschamps’ decision to omit Mbappé from the French squad, Ancelotti refrained from speculating, respecting the coach’s choice. France is set to play Israel and Italy in the Nations League on November 14 and 17, with Real Madrid hoping for a revitalized Mbappé as they seek to close the gap in La Liga.
