Adam Peaty declared his resurgence after clinching the British 100m breaststroke title, securing his spot in the Paris Olympics with the fastest time of the year.
Clocking in at 57.94 seconds in London, Peaty’s performance marked his swiftest time since defending his Olympic title in 2021.
Addressing questions about his form, the three-time Olympic champion cautiously affirmed, “I think so,” acknowledging the progress while noting room for improvement.
Peaty’s journey back to the top has been marked by setbacks, including a fourth-place finish in the 2022 Commonwealth Games due to a broken foot, and a hiatus in 2023 to address mental health challenges.
Reflecting on his recent achievements, Peaty credited his team, family, and resilience in overcoming the past three tumultuous years. Despite uncertainties about the future, he expressed gratitude for rediscovering joy in his sport, leaving the door open for whatever lies ahead.
