In the women’s event, Kenya’s Sheila Chepkirui completed a brilliant debut, leading the podium with a 2:24:35 finish. She held her pace steadily alongside the lead group, eventually surpassing defending champion Hellen Obiri in the final mile. American Daniel Romanchuk won his third men’s wheelchair title, finishing in 1:36:31 after a final 400-meter surge against Britain’s David Weir. Susannah Scaroni dominated the women’s wheelchair field, clocking an impressive 1:48:05, with fellow American Tatyana McFadden and Swiss Manuela Schar rounding out the podium.
