Bukayo Saka, the 22-year-old Arsenal winger, has pulled out of the England squad for upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium due to an injury.
Despite joining the squad, Saka couldn’t participate in training sessions at St George’s Park due to the injury he reported earlier in the week.
The Football Association confirmed Saka’s return to Arsenal for further rehabilitation, as he remains sidelined from action.
England’s fixtures against Brazil and Belgium at Wembley will proceed without Saka, presenting a setback for manager Gareth Southgate.
England has only two matches remaining in their schedule following this international break – facing Bosnia-Herzegovina on June 3rd and Iceland on June 7th. These fixtures precede their Euro 2024 opener against Serbia scheduled for June 16th.
