
Jayson Tatum delivered another stellar performance, scoring 32 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to lead the Boston Celtics to a 116-103 victory over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
Despite Jaylen Brown sitting out with a sore knee, the Celtics took early control with a 37-point first quarter, extending their lead to 24 points before halftime. While the Spurs fought back to cut the deficit to eight points in the fourth quarter, Boston pulled away behind Kristaps Porzingis’ 29 points and Derrick White’s 19.
Tatum notched his third straight 30-point game, helping Boston secure their third consecutive win and seventh in their last eight games.
Meanwhile, De’Aaron Fox led the Spurs with 23 points, while Wembanyama contributed 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocks—extending his streak of games with at least one block to 85, surpassing Hakeem Olajuwon for the fifth-longest streak in NBA history.
