Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo will be out for several weeks after suffering a muscle injury earlier this month during the match against Aston Villa, the club confirmed on Thursday. Mainoo, along with defender Harry Maguire, who also picked up an injury in the same 0-0 draw, missed England’s Nations League games against Greece and Finland.
Despite these setbacks, forwards Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo have returned to training after recovering from injury and illness and could feature in United’s upcoming clash against Brentford on Saturday. Moroccan defender Noussair Mazraoui has also rejoined the squad after being substituted at Villa due to illness.
United continue to battle an extensive injury list, with key players like Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Leny Yoro still sidelined. These challenges have compounded the club’s struggles, as they currently sit 14th in the Premier League with eight points from seven matches.
