England bounced back from their last-minute defeat to Greece with a convincing 3-1 win over Finland in UEFA Nations League Group B2 in Helsinki, marking only their second away win in seven matches in the competition. Finland started brightly, with Topi Keskinen nearly capitalizing on a blocked effort by Benjamin Källman. However, England’s quality soon showed as Angel Gomes set up Jack Grealish for a well-taken goal, his second in three matches.

Finland, sitting at the bottom of Group B2 and facing potential relegation, put up a fight, creating chances through Keskinen and Fredrik Jensen. Jensen, however, missed two key opportunities to level the score.

Trent Alexander-Arnold extended England’s lead with a brilliant free-kick before Declan Rice added a third, assisted by substitute Ollie Watkins. Finland grabbed a consolation goal through Arttu Hoskonen’s header from a corner, but it wasn’t enough to prevent their likely relegation.

With this win, England moved level on points with Greece at the top of the group, keeping their promotion hopes alive.
