Just hours after former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was named as head of Red Bull’s football operations, the energy drinks giant has been linked to a potential takeover bid for French second division club Paris FC. Talks are reportedly ongoing between Red Bull and the Arnault family, owners of the LVMH luxury brand company, regarding the acquisition.
Paris FC President Pierre Ferracci, who has led the club since 2012, has expressed his willingness to step down. The French side, currently topping Ligue 2, remains overshadowed by the Qatari-owned PSG but could see significant growth under new ownership.
Red Bull, already known for its football ventures with clubs like RB Leipzig, Salzburg, and New York Red Bulls, as well as its success in Formula One, could potentially add Paris FC to its global sports portfolio. Both Red Bull and the Arnault family have declined to comment on the ongoing discussions.
