John Stones netted a dramatic 98th-minute equalizer to secure a 2-2 draw for Manchester City against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium, extending their unbeaten home Premier League streak to 33 matches. Erling Haaland opened the scoring early, marking his 100th goal for the club after a sharp assist from Savinho, as City dominated the early stages.

However, City’s momentum was disrupted after Rodri left the field due to injury, and Arsenal quickly capitalized. Gabriel Martinelli set up Riccardo Calafiori, who scored a stunning left-footed curler to level the match. Arsenal then took the lead through Gabriel Magalhães, heading in Bukayo Saka’s pinpoint corner just before halftime.

The Gunners’ hopes took a hit when Leandro Trossard was sent off after a second yellow card for time-wasting. With a man advantage, City bombarded Arsenal’s defense in the second half. Despite several excellent saves from David Raya, including denying Haaland and Joško Gvardiol, City’s pressure paid off in stoppage time. Stones tapped in the rebound from Mateo Kovačić’s shot to rescue a point.

Although City might feel disappointed not to have claimed all three points, they remain top of the table, while Arsenal will rue letting their lead slip, even with 33 games left to challenge for the title.
