Brentford’s Yoane Wissa is set to miss the next couple of months due to an ankle injury, manager Thomas Frank confirmed on Monday. The 28-year-old DR Congo forward scored just 30 seconds into Brentford’s clash with Manchester City on Saturday but had to leave the game before halftime following a challenge with Mateo Kovacic. The Bees went on to lose 2-1.

Frank expressed his frustration, saying, “Wissa is not good news. It looks like he will be out for a couple of months. It’s frustrating, but I’ll find a solution and other players will step up.”

Brentford’s attacking options have already been hit with Igor Thiago sidelined by a knee injury and Ivan Toney’s move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli earlier this season.
