Noni Madueke’s second-half hat-trick powered Chelsea to their first Premier League win under Enzo Maresca, as they defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2 at Molineux. Chelsea, who had been held to a draw by Manchester City in their opener, wasted no time getting on the scoresheet, with Nicolas Jackson heading in from a Cole Palmer corner just two minutes into the match.

Wolves responded strongly, with Matheus Cunha equalizing in the 30th minute after being set up by Rayan Aït-Nouri. Chelsea quickly reclaimed the lead, however, as Jackson and Palmer combined to allow Palmer to loft the ball over Wolves’ goalkeeper José Sá. Yet, Wolves equalized again just before halftime through Jørgen Strand Larsen, who scored his first goal for the club.

The second half was dominated by Chelsea, with Madueke scoring three goals in a 15-minute span. His first came just three minutes into the half, followed by two more strikes, both assisted by Palmer, which left Wolves reeling. Any hopes of a Wolves comeback were dashed when a Mario Lemina goal was ruled out for offside, and João Félix added Chelsea’s sixth goal late on.

This victory marked Chelsea’s first win at Molineux in five years, while Wolves remain without a point in the league after a tough afternoon on their home ground.
