Jonathan Marchessault secured his third hat trick of the season in a 5-3 triumph for the Vegas Golden Knights over the Detroit Red Wings at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday. The game-winning goal came with 2:44 left, followed by an empty-netter 97 seconds later, sealing the victory. His initial goal was netted at 14:36 of the first period.

“He wasn’t much of a passer. It’s a good thing Ivan Barbashev and I were looking for him,” remarked Vegas forward Jack Eichel, who contributed three assists. “It was great to see him get a hatty and get rewarded. You know, ‘Marchy’, he’s been awesome for us all year.”
