Barcelona’s 17-year-old defender Pau Cubarsi has been left out of Spain’s final squad for Euro 2024. Head coach Luis de la Fuente made the final cuts, which also saw Atletico Madrid’s Marcos Llorente and Girona’s Aleix Garcia miss out on a place in the 26-man squad.

Despite a goal-scoring debut on Wednesday, former Newcastle and Leicester City forward Ayoze Perez secured his spot and will travel to Germany. The squad features Premier League stars including Manchester City midfielder Rodri, Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, and on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.

Spain will play a final friendly match against Northern Ireland on Saturday before starting their Euro 2024 campaign on June 15 against Croatia. They will also face Italy and Albania in Group B.
